Reiki is...A universal energy and an ancient healing modality that has been handed down from person to person since the beginning of mankind. It is different to other healing modalities in that it involves attunements which open the student directly to the energy and to the special lineage that is The Usui System of Natural Healing. It is not a sect or a cult nor is it associated with any belief system. It does not belong to any country, organisation or person. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose and is used in conjunction with modern medicine. In the Japanese language Reiki loosely translates to Universal Life Force. Reiki is also a personal journey of growth for the student and practitioner. You are able to look within your self and examine just what makes you you. It is from this inner journey that the true journey through life begins.
